This Privacy Policy explains how Eden ("Eden", "we", "us") handles information when you use the Eden mobile app. By using Eden, you agree to this policy.
Your name, onboarding answers, chosen reminder time, streak, and your saved prayers and messages are stored locally on your device. We do not have a copy of this on our servers.
When you request a prayer or send a message in "Talk to God", the text you write (for example, what is weighing on you) and your first name are sent over an encrypted connection to our processing service (hosted on Cloudflare) and to our AI provider, Anthropic, solely to generate the prayer or reply that is returned to you. This content is processed to provide the feature and is not used to train AI models. We do not retain this text on our own servers beyond what is needed to return your prayer.
Purchases are processed by Apple. We use RevenueCat to manage subscription status. RevenueCat receives a randomly generated app user identifier and purchase information to tell the app whether your subscription is active. We never receive your full payment details.
Daily reminders are scheduled locally on your device. We do not send push notifications from a server.
Each provider handles data under its own privacy policy.
Eden is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
Because your data lives on your device, deleting the app removes it. You can manage or cancel your subscription anytime in your Apple account settings.
Eden provides AI-generated prayers and encouragement. It is not a substitute for professional counseling, medical advice, or pastoral care. If you are struggling with your mental health, please reach out to a licensed professional. If you are in crisis, contact your local emergency services.
We may update this policy. Material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above.
